My partner booked a private taxi for around £18. We arrived at Palma airport to discover a long queue but assumed this was down to them being reasonable and popular - in my opinion a good sign. The transfers were £16 each the taxi only cost 19 Euro.If your going to El Arenal just forget the transfer and get a taxi, less stress and less money The taxi arrived and took us to the airport and i was still on hold by the time we arrived so i hung up !!!! Thank fully we had no hold luggage and just caught check in. In the mean time my husband and reception thought it wise to call a taxi. I called it and was on hold for 15 mins, a female answered and i explained we still had not been picked up. We went into reception who tried to call their "emergency " number, no reply. pick up was at 7.50pm and we should wait outside the hotel 15 mins prior to this.well at 8.30 still no pick up. No problem, we called and it was all sorted. However we noticed a sign saying they were closed on a sat and sunday so we called on the Friday to confirm and get the time. we were told to call the day before departure to confirm our transfer and time. Only a couple of other people there waiting. Arrived at Mallorca airport, all on time, went to the Mallorca Coaches, Hoppa desk. So if you are using this service in Majorca you might want to try 971 225 035 or 971 789 591 instead of the number they give you.Booked our holiday through travel republic, normally hire a car but as it was only 4 days we went with the transfer option. AFter running up a bill of about 5 euros I was rescued by the receptionist at the hotel who had some other, non-premium local numbers. I tried the local number several times only to be kept on hold listening to music. If you want to be out and about during office hours it's a nuisance to have to phone and as we found out, expensive. One is a local 902 number and the other, if using a mobile, is an 0871 number in the UK. The company require you to phone up the day before return to get a pick-up time from them. This, for us, was a good service spoilt by an effective stealth charge. It was a coach transfer very much like the tour operators use dropping off and picking up at a number of hotels. Cost £28 return in total whereas a taxi is around €30 each way. My wife and I used this service from Palma to Palma Nova recently. If you like a little stress at the end of you holiday use them. We would not use this company again and consider ourselves lucky to have been reimbursed, i have seen a lot of posts on the internet where others have not. After about six weeks finally got refunded the cost of the taxi, probably due to threat of court action on our part for breach of contract. Many emails and telephone calls were made, this company treats customers with disdain. Lodged a complaint at airport told to sort out with company back home. Luckily enough we had enough funds on us and managed to get a taxi and arrived in time for our flight. Eventually get through to be told bus had gone(no surprise there, as was about 7.am then) told to make our own way there. Pick up arranged for 6.15am, needless to say no transport arrived, used the emergency telephone number, not at computer then, phone back in 15 mins, about 6/7 calls made all to an answerphone saying they were busy. Did everything by the book, telephoning the day before to arrange pick-up. Hopefully we are an isolated case for all you fellow travellers. We used the same sort of service in Lanzarote and it was fantastic. We eventually gave up and phoned from a landline to their landline number to get answered no prob. The other hotel he stopped at they just didn't appear so not sure what happened there.Īlso please note the telephone numbers they give you to call for pick up.one doesn't work and the other is impossible to get through on your mobile. Please also make sure you do not sleep in or are running late as we stopped at 2 hotels to find 1 family had slept in.he left them. We were then last drop off.all in all we had landed at 1010 and didn't get till our hotel till 130.unacceptable when only there a week and told it would be an hour transfer. They seemed to be waitng on further flights landing so bus was 1/2 full, perhaps because we were going up to Alcudia and its over an hours drive. We then waited over an hour in the coach before it finally left. 45 mins later someone came out to inform us to go to a coach which was now waiting on us. We were told to stand outside where the buses were and could see others gathering too. On arrival at the airport we found the desk to let them know we had arrived. We are just back from Majorca and personally don't think we would use resort hoppa again.
